Green thinking, thoughtful materials.

01

The issue
The environmental cost of conventional plastics

The world is facing a growing environmental crisis driven by the widespread use of single-use and fossil-based plastics. These plastics contribute to rising CO₂ emissions, the spread of microplastics in ecosystems, and an increasing dependence on finite resources like crude oil. As plastic waste accumulates in landfills and oceans, the harmful impact on the planet becomes more apparent. At UBITE, bio-based materials aren't meant to be an alternative, instead they are meant to be the new standard.

02

A better standard
Bio-based, reusable, and recyclable

Sustainability should be the norm, not the exception. UBITE's bio-based materials are designed to reduce environmental impact while maintaining the convenience and durability of traditional plastics. Our materials offer a smarter alternative, designed to reduce the environmental impact of single use and oil based plastics.

Plant-based,
carbon neutral

Plant-based,
carbon neutral

Our materials are sourced from plants such as sugarcane, corn, and potatoes, renewable resources that absorb CO₂ from the atmosphere during growth. Unlike with oil-based plastics , which release new carbon into the atmosphere and contribute to pollution, these plant-based alternatives reduce reliance on finite resources. They offer a more sustainable, carbon-conscious solution. Additionally, our materials contain no microplastics, PFAS, or BPA, making them a safer choice for both consumers and the environment

02 B

Made for reuse

Our materials are designed for durability, allowing products to withstand hundreds of washes. Each wash represents a moment when single-use plastic was avoided, contributing to a more sustainable future.

02 C

Designed for
recycling

Designed for recycling

While our materials are biodegradable due to their bio-based nature, the ideal end-of-life scenario is recycling. However, if they do end up in the environment, they break down far faster than fossil-based plastics, reducing long-term pollution.

At the end of their lifecycle, products are collected and recycled through mechanical or chemical processes, transforming them into raw materials for new UBITE products. This keeps valuable resources in circulation and minimizes environmental impact.

At UBITE, waste is viewed as a resource, and the goal is a truly waste-free system. This is achieved through a closed-loop process, ensuring raw materials are used to their full potential.

A science-driven approach

UBITE collaborates with partners and industry leaders, to develop advanced heat-resistant, bio-based materials for multiple applications. Our ongoing work ensures continuous improvements in performance, durability, and sustainability. We are currently developing the first bio-based raw material that can withstand temperatures of over 200 degrees.
